I am currently doing an internship of sorts at ATVP gallery in Newtown. I am in their emerging curatorship mentorship program, which means they are guiding me through the process of curating a show. The show doesn’t have a name yet, but I am going to suggest ‘Corporeal’. ATVP is an Artist Run Initiative (ARI) and as a result I’ve met some cool new artists.

Another side-benefit of doing this internship is that I’ve been getting enthusiastic about making art again. It’s exciting to be positive about art and even more so to be pro-active. Cathrine has been so amazingly encouraging and enthusiastic. She has been helping me to organise myself and soon we’ll see artworks blossom from small ideas into fully realised artworks.

Tomorrow we are going to pick up some materials and run other errands (we’re buying Dragon Age: Origins). But I’m already looking for excuses to think about more and more work. There are art shows to apply for and everything!

I’m excited.
